KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Aman Graseka has finally come forward to deny allegations that he had been asking for monetary assistance for the past two years.
In a news report today, the 56-year-old artiste whose full name is Aman Shah Baharom Shah said that both his wife Reena Arina and him had been maliciously slandered and they themselves are victims of irresponsible scammers.
"By God, I had never asked for money from just anyone, except maybe from Yayasan Kebajikan Artis Tanahair (YKAT) and those who are very close to me.
"I don't even have Sharifah Shahirah's (Shiera) number and how could I have contacted her to ask for help if that is so?
"Recently, Aedy Ashraf called me, and asked if I needed any help, but I told him I was doing fine.
"So he told me that someone must have been using my name, phone number and bank account number to contact fellow artistes asking for money," said Aman who regretted that the "scamming" issue had tarnished both his and his wife's name.
Previously, their names were dragged through the mud after they went viral for contacting other artistes and asking for financial help.
