#Showbiz: Sad, tired of ongoing 'Norhidayah-Ali Puteh' fued - Achey

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of comedy group Bocey, Achey and Fad, don't want to interfere in the conflict between the widow of late comedian Abam, Siti Norhidayah Mohd Ali, and her brother-in-law, Ali Puteh.

But as friends of the deceased, they hope that the bad blood between the two which has been hotly publicised on social media for the past four years could be resolved privately for the sake of the late comedian.

"Fad and I have no right to interfere in their affairs because we are outsiders. As friends, we are sad and tired of what's happened. If we are tired, then don't even mention arwah's (the deceased) spirit.

"If both of you are thinking about arwah, then please stop arguing. Deal with it quietly and let it all be over and done with.

"Of course if it can be settled sooner, then all the better, I hope it can be wrapped up before Aidilfitri so that Fad and I can visit both families in Sungai Besar and Gombak," he said in a news report today.

Achey added that he and Fad would feel very awkward if they were to visit both of them now because they did not want to be seen to be choosing a side.

He said they had also stopped asking about the wellbeing of Abam's only son, the five-year-old Syed Uthman Hamzah Al-Juffrey, since the crisis began.

"We think prayers from afar are enough for now. Not that we just want to remain silent or ignore Hamzah's welfare, but in terms of offering help and visiting, I think we should wait until the crisis is over first.

"God willing, as soon as it's settled, there are lots of things we want to do for Hamzah, and that's also only if his family agrees to it.

"Fad and I have tried to clear the air before but it didn't work. So, we 'throw our hands up', but still advised them to settle it in a nice way.

"That's why when someone asks, 'why don't you help arwah's widow or Ali?', we can only tell them that it's a family matter and we're just brothers in the industry and we believe that they're alright," he said.

Achey also hopes the conflict between Hidayah and Ali can also be resolved well considering the children are getting older.

"Whatever happens, they are still flesh and blood. This is all I can say and I am not qualified to go any deeper on this since I'm just an outsider," he said.
