#Showbiz: Fathia Latiff to blame netizens if she ever becomes an apostate?

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Fathia Latiff has warned that if she becomes an apostate by leaving the religion of Islam, it would be due to the fault of netizens who have been unkind to her.

The 36-year-old artiste, whose full name is Nur Fathia Abdul Latiff, said that she was angry and hurt by the constant barrage of extreme criticism from many individuals on social media, according to a Harian Metro report yesterday.

"There's just one thing I want to say, don't let it come to a point where I become an apostate because of all of you.

"I'd resort to drinking alcohol, wearing shorts, or becoming a kafir (an infidel) because I'm very upset with you," she said on TikTok.

The actress added that there is no point in a person performing worship and appearing as godly if the person continues to insult other fellow Muslims.

"I am innocent. You are the ones who will go to hell because of your forceful coercion.

"Don't let your worship, even if it is for 100 years, all go to waste. Because you made one of your brothers or sisters become like this.

"Make people angry, hurt their heart of hearts. God may be able to forgive, but it's not necessarily so for people, salam Ramadan lah," she said.

Previously, Fathia sparked a heated debate online after issuing provocative statements against actress Zahirah MacWilson and her husband, Aiman Hakim Ridza.

The drama then escalated with her former best friend, Zarina Anjoulie, which also became a hot topic among netizens.

Many believed that Fathia was suffering from certain mental disorders, although the actress denied it and insisted that she was healthy and only suffering from stress.
