#Showbiz: Teary Siti Nurhaliza delighted to buy Raya clothes for Gaza children

KUALA LUMPUR: Moved to tears by the plight of Gaza's suffering children, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza is delighted to have bought Hari Raya Aidilfitri clothes for them.

The 45-year-old pop queen and her husband, businessman Datuk Seri Khalid Jiwa, recently provided clothes and foodstuffs for 10,000 Palestinians in Gaza to mark Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The items were successfully purchased courtesy of donations from generous Malaysians to their humanitarian foundation, Yayasan Nurjiwa.

"Thank God for giving us the chance to reach out and help the children of Palestine in the holy month of Ramadan," said Siti in an Instagram post yesterday.

"My husband and I will always do our utmost to help the children of Palestine, as well as the less fortunate children around the world."

Siti also said that the foodstuffs and clothing were specifically for children in Rafah, Gaza, and served as Malaysia's "Hari Raya gift" for all of them.

"May they be able to celebrate a meaningful Hari Raya AIdilfitri and be safe and sound," she said, urging all Malaysians to pray for the Palestinian children's safety.
