KUALA LUMPUR: Dangdut singer Sheeda, 60, revealed that her 24-year-old daughter, Nur Fazlinda Ahmad Fazli or Alin, succumbed to liver cancer last Thursday.
Sheeda, or Sayyida Beevi M Shahul Hameed, said in an Instagram post yesterday that Alin had spent a month battling the disease and "seeing her go" at such a young age was heartbreaking.
"It just breaks my heart to see you go so soon, Alin. You have now returned to the Almighty and your suffering is no more," she said.
"God lent you to me for 24 years, and even though it was a short time I will always cherish the times we had together.
"You are my perfect daughter, that is why God loves you so much more than me."
Alin is Sheeda's daughter from her second marriage to Ahmad Fazli Mohammad.
They divorced when Alin was 13.
Sheeda also has two children from her first marriage to rock group Desire's guitarist Razli Hussain, namely Hafizul Razli and singer-actress Nor Razlinda Razli or Bienda.
Sheeda's fourth child Muhammad Aiman Sukri, 16, is from her third marriage to Sukri Hashim from 2007 to 2019.
