KUALA LUMPUR: Multi-talented Datuk Afdlin Shauki has finally revealed who his wife is.
The 53-year-old actor, singer, producer, director and comedian from Ipoh, Perak introduced her as Datin Marcella at an Iftar ceremony for his coming film Harimau Malaya yesterday.
Afdlin also revealed that 28-year-old Marcella was managing one of his companies, and "used to work with him".
"She used to work with me, but now she is the boss of one of my businesses," said Afdlin in an interview with Harian Metro at the event.
Marcella revealed that she was happy to meet and greet her husband's fans, as all this while he had kept her identity under wraps.
"I really don't know what to say, it is a totally new experience for me," said Marcella, who added that she had known Afdlin for a long time.
Marcella also disclosed that her late father had requested that they keep their marriage under wraps.
"My father passed away in April last year. I guess after one year, now is the time to make the announcement," she said.
Marcella described Afdlin as a kind and caring gentleman, and possessed most of her father's noble qualities.
Afdlin was previously married to Maria Christina Orow, from 1997 to 2022.
They have three daughters Mia Sara, Anais and Ileana Matin.
Mia Sara is also an actress who will appear in the upcoming film Geng Kubur.
