#Showbiz: Bella Astillah's 'Sumandak Sabah' performance in China praised by many

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress, Bella Astillah, 30, did Malaysia proud during her performing at the Wuhu Shenshan Music Festival 2024 in China, yesterday.

Bella, whose fullname is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, sang the folk song Sumandak Sabah and the Mandarin tune Zheng Fu, according to a Harian Metro report today.

"Alhamdulillah finished my assignment in China. A little clip for all my loved ones in Malaysia! I'm proud to be Sabahan and Malaysian," she said in a recent post on social media.

Her entry garnered many positive messages in the comments section from fellow local artistes and Malaysian netizens.

Among them were celebrities Marsha Milan, Puteri Sarah Liyana, Nora Danish, Umie Aida, and many others.

More interestingly, many expressed their admiration for Bella's spirit to 'fly high' at a time when her domestic controversy with her husband, singer and actor Aliff Aziz, was still being hotly talked about.

"God is just, great is the reward for the patient," wrote one netizen.

Another offered: "An ordinary actor in the eyes of her mother-in-law but still extraordinary in the eyes of her fans. Fly Bella, as high as you can, so that you can see the world that once looked down on you."

"When she was knocked down, she fought alone and kept getting up for the sake of her children. Congratulations Bella, may you continue to succeed and stand strong. We women of the world will always support you," wrote one more fan.
