Supplies for frontliners

THOMSON Hospital Kota Damansara (THKD) has collected and donated RM201,000 worth of medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Sabah State Health Department in support of the state's response to the Covid-19 outbreak there.

THKD and its partners, BioD Medica Sdn Bhd, Delta Medisains (M) Sdn Bhd, Gelola Tegas Sdn Bhd, Jac Concept Sdn Bhd, LKL Advance Metaltech Sdn Bhd and Marpoliq Sdn Bhd, together donated a total of 2,000 surgical face masks, 3,000 KN95 protection masks, as well as more than 7,000 face shields, jumpsuits and boot covers for the use of Ministry of Health frontliners in Sabah.

"As a gesture of solidarity, we organised a donation campaign to contribute PPE and other supplies to our fellow healthcare colleagues in Sabah. We are extremely grateful for the dedication and effort by the Sabah State Health Department and Ministry of Health in combating the Covid-19 outbreak there which is of national concern and we will do our best to continue to support the Ministry of Health in whatever way we can", says THKD chief executive officer, Nadiah Wan.

Wan adds that during a pandemic, it is important that all of us work together to support each other as the enemy may be everywhere and anywhere and the failure of one may mean the failure of all.

"We would also like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all frontliners who have laboured tirelessly over the year to ensure that we all live and adapt to the new normal."
