Shoot: Croatian beauty

DUBROVNIK is a walled city in Croatia built along the coast of the Adriatic Sea. It became very famous after the mega-hit HBO series Game of Thrones were filmed there. It was heavily featured throughout the seven seasons as the setting of King’s Landing.

Though listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1979, the city was not spared from the destruction of the Balkans war in the 1990s. These days, the city has become a huge tourist draw as it boasts beautiful weather, scenery and, of course, the allure of being a Game of Thrones film locale. No cars are allowed in the old city with lots of alleyways running off the main boulevards. You will find restaurants, old houses, shops and, of course, photo opportunities. Dubrovnik is just a photo waiting to happen.

Whether you are visiting Dubrovnik for the first time or the umpteenth time, the beauty of the city never fails to evoke awe.
