JUST in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival, EQ is presenting their Celestial Treasures, a selection of lovingly hand-crafted mooncakes, comprising traditional favourites in addition to six new delightful flavours of snow skin mooncakes made by Executive Sous Chef, Tan Tzaan Ling.
Perfect for heartfelt reunions, gift-giving occasions and personal indulgence, the mooncakes, available at Nipah until Oct 1, 2020 come in sets of either four or six pieces, encased in elegant boxes with vibrant floral patterns symbolising the joy of cherished gatherings this season. The two limited edition box sets can even double up as elegant photo frames after disassembling.
Fans of traditional baked mooncakes will love the flavour selection, ranging from Low Sugar White Lotus Single Yolk, Traditional Red Bean, EQ Signature Black Sesame Single Yolk (normal and mini size) and Pure Lotus Double Yolk, which is only available in the normal size.
Meanwhile, Chef Tan's specialty mini snow skin mooncakes has to be the piece de resistance in this auspicious offering. Choose from White Lotus with Dried Fruit, Yuzu Pandan with Pumpkin Seeds, Taro with Red and Black Goji, Snow Skin Green Tea Red Bean with Mixed Nuts. My personal favourites? The Rose Lychee and Musang King Durian. Out of this world!
"I wanted to create flavours that are inviting, delicious and healthy. Flavours that can cater to both the younger and older generation," shares Tan, adding: "We've experimented with textures and tastes of individual ingredients, combining the best of sweet and savoury as well as soft and chewy. The Musang King Durian flavour will definitely be a big hit as we only use the freshest ingredients and guests have been enquiring about these since last year."
Orders made from now until August 31 will receive an early bird discount of up to 15 per cent, and bulk orders of 50 boxes or more will receive up to 20 per cent discount. Customisation of corporate gifts is also available with six working days notice.
