KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia's electrified Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) X5 xDrive45e M Sport has been given a 2022 update in features and appearance.
It now comes equipped with BMW Laserlight for greater and wider illumination. Its Adaptive Headlights with BMW Selective Beam is equipped with laser high beam modules that offer a much higher light intensity compared to bi-LED lights.
For safety there's now Active Protection which will see two more side airbags added to the second row of the vehicle. This brings the total amount of airbags within the premium SAV to eight units.
Active Protection also prepares passengers in the cabin for collision in the event of a potential accident. For example, open windows and sunroof will automatically be shut to ensure the highest level of safety for all passengers.
Additionally, reversible seatbelt pre-tensioning is also implemented where an electric motor will automatically tighten the seatbelt to the ideal tension based on the passenger's body upon seatbelt fastening.
Lastly, it comes with new 21-inch 741M Alloy Wheels in Orbit Grey. Live Cockpit Professional, Driving Assistant, Parking Assistant Plus, Rear Seat Entertainment, as well as Vernasca genuine leather upholstery remain present.
The new BMW X5 xDrive45e M Sport is priced at RM 457,498.37 inclusive of BMW Service and Repair as well as Sales and Service Tax exemption (on the road, without insurance),
It can be had at a monthly repayment starting from RM 4,882 (based on estimates of an 80 per cent loan on a five-year tenure) through BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia's Easy Drive Financing Plan.
