GWM Malaysia's retro-modern fastback electric vehicle (EV) is officially in the market with a price tag.
The Ora 07 is available in two variants: Long Range Ultra and Performance both priced from RM169,800 and RM189,800 respectively.
Dimensions of the two are similar measuring at 4871 mm in length, 1862 mm in widt, and 1500 mm in height and both share a ternary lithium battery with 83.499 kWh capacity though tuned for different output.
The front-wheel drive (FWD) Long Range Ultra variant has a range of 640 km while delivering 204 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque. It has a 7.9 second 0-100kph acceleration and a top speed of 170kph.
The Performance model which comes in all-wheel drive (AWD) has a lower range of up to 550 km but a faster 4.3 seconds century sprint and slightly higher top speed at 180kph. It has a higher power output at 408 PS and 680 Nm of torque.
Driving mode includes: Normal, Well Being, Sport, Ec and Individual. Sport+ is only available to the Performance variant.
Exterior highlights includes a closed grille, oval-shaped intelligent LED headlights, hidden door handles, frameless doors, and an adaptive electric spoiler.
Cabin is adorned with premium leather, complete with a T-shaped hollow center console with rotating panels, seats with massage features for driver and front passenger, a 1.7 square-metre dome-style panoramic sunroof and a smart air conditioning system.
It has a 10.25-inch instrument display, a 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and a Qi wireless charging slot.
Safety is a huge part of the Ora 07 having undergone rigorous testing which includes China's first intense EV Rollover Challenge and the Intersection Collision Challenge.
Built-in safety highlights includes lane departure system, lane keeping system, blind spot monitoring system, intelligent evasion, traffic sign recognition, cruise speed limit, overspeed alarm, 360 degree panoramic view surround cameras, and a cage-style high-strength body.
Both variants are available in the same three exterior colours: Crystal Purple, Amethyst Gray and Jade White. Standard interior for the Long Range Ultra is in black while the Performance is in brown - the latter colour is optional for the Long Range Ultra.
Standard warranty includes a six-year or 150,000 km warranty and an eight-year or 180,000 km battery and motor warranty. There's also a one-to-one battery replacement if its health drops below 70 per cent during the warranty period. There is also a 12-year body warranty for rust and corrosion.
GWM Malaysia is also running a promotion where the first 500 customers will receive a free AC wallbox charger and a general warranty extension to eight years or 180,000 km. Returning GWM customers are entitled to a RM3,000 rebate if they've purchased an older GWM vehicle.
