Emerald debuts Brembo's first ever EV brakes at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Emerald Auto Parts Sdn. Bhd. (Emerald), the official distributor of Brembo in Malaysia, is showcasing for the first time in Southeast Asia the brake manufacturer's first electric vehicle (EV) kit at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2023 (AMKL).

The Beyond EV Kit is the first specific brake pads dedicated to electric cars offering a complete disc solution with new anti-corrosion treatment, is more silent, and has greater durability.

Available locally from May onwards, the kit is compatible with EVs such as the Volkswagen E-Golf, BMW i3, Nissan Leaf, Hyundai Ioniq, and the range of Tesla Model 3, S, X, and Y.

Additionally, Emerald also previewed Brembo's new X-Style Caliper range which is dedicated to car owners who love to customise their car.

Developed for Mercedes models like the C Class Sedan, GLC Class SUV and E Class Sedan, the aluminium calipers come in four colours of yellow, red, black and grey.

Our product range also has expended beyond braking parts," said Emerald chief executive officer Markz Lim, who highlighted its distribution in chemical specialty products from brands such as SAM, Champion, Seiwa, FEW and Flamma.

Emerald is a member of Nexus Automotive International and is an expert in braking systems with its team of more than 40 years experience in the industry.

The company is primarily known as a distributor of brands such as Brembo, Seiken, Remsa, Continental, CRC, and Sanwa locally.
