KUALA LUMPUR: Fresh from BYD being crowned electric vehicle market leader for 2023, Sime Darby Beyond Auto (SDBA) has secured another 660 bookings of its coveted BYD ATTO 3 and BYD DOLPHIN models.
The bookings were secured during SDBA's Chinese New Year Specials showcase at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium earlier this month.
SDBA is the exclusive distributor of BYD in Malaysia.
Following its success, SDBA is now planning to roll out a series of enticing promotions, exclusive offers, and captivating campaigns featuring a 0 per cent interest rate.
SDBA said that the BYD ATTO 3 has seamlessly earned its status as the most preferred model among Malaysians, mainly due to its attractive price point, making EV ownership more accessible to a broader audience and perfect for families.
Beyond affordability, it said the BYD ATTO 3 sets itself apart as the first SUV built on BYD's advanced e-platform 3.0 and boasts an impressive range, reaching up to 480km on a single charge.
Sime Darby Motors managing director of Southeast Asia Jeffrey Gan said the group's achievement of the highest EV vehicle sales in 2023 reflects the strong support and trust by Malaysian consumers in BYD.

Gan also said with the imminent arrival of the highly anticipated BYD SEAL, SDBA has officially opened pre-bookings for the eagerly anticipated BYD SEAL from Jan 19.
With a pre-booking fee of RM1,000 per unit, interested customers will be able to secure their place as one of the early owners of the highly anticipated BYD SEAL.
The fee is inclusive of the vehicle price and downpayment, with refund terms and conditions applied.
