Stellantis Malaysia begins operation, sets up call centre

PEUGEOT, DS and Citroën customers take note: you will now be required to contact Stellantis Malaysia, the carmaker's national sales company, directly for any assistance.

The one-stop call centre will handle all customer service and enquiries relating to the three brands under the Stellantis banner.

This new directive came into effect on March 1 and is part of the company's transition to having its local arm manage the sales distribution and ownership experience of its vehicles, along with delivering seamless customer care during this period.

The call centre will offer centralised customer support service for both sales and aftersales enquiries and assistance, as well as address any complaints.

The operating hours are 8.45am to 5.45pm daily. Additionally, Stellantis Malaysia will provide 24-hour support for accident and breakdown cases.

Peugeot, DS and Citroën vehicle owners can contact the new call centre using the toll-free number 1800-18-7852 or email customersupport.my@stellantis.com.

Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd (BAA) previously announced the cessation of its Peugeot operations with effect from Feb 29.

This followed the announcement in November by Stellantis N.V that it would manage its brands in the Malaysian market.

BAA had previously managed the distribution, sales and aftersales operations of Peugeot vehicles and as the authorized repairer for Citroen and DS models in Malaysia for three years.

It is a joint venture between Berjaya Corp Bhd and Bermaz Auto Bhd.

"BAA will no longer be able to continue serving the Peugeot customers as intended with the cessation of operations. It is with heartfelt gratitude BAA expresses its appreciation towards all customers for the support and confidence in the sales and aftersales service rendered by BAA throughout these years.

"Please be advised that BAA has agreed to transfer the contractual Free Service Maintenance (FSM) programme to Stellantis N.V in totality and as such, all future FSM will be carried out through Stellantis N.V's appointed network," said BAA in a statement.

Globally, Stellantis N.V. is known as a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation that was formed from the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the French PSA Group in 2021.

Based in Amsterdam, the company has 14 automotive brands under its banner, including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall.
