CHERY Malaysia's Tiggo 7 Pro is set to further stir the competition when it gets officially launched at the end of May.
The company has hinted that the five-seater sports utility vehicle (SUV), which is now open for booking, will be competitively priced below RM130,000.
It is the fourth model to be launched as part of Chery Malaysia's lineup and will be offered alongside the larger Tiggo 8 Pro, the Omoda 5 and the recently launched Omoda E5 electric vehicle (EV).
The Tiggo 7 Pro has a wheelbase of 2670mm, a length of 4513mm, width of 1862mm and a1696mm standing height. Boot capacity varies between 475L – 1672L depending on the seats being folded or not and ground clearance is at 175mm.
It boasts a 1.6L Turbocharged engine under the hood that's paired to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The powertrain setup delivers 197HP and a torque of 290Nm, as well as a fuel consumption at 7.0L/100km.
Its interior is packed full of features to go with its comfort-centric cabin. Seats are wrapped in leatherette upholstery with ventilated function being available at the front.
Also at the front is a 24.6-inch Integrated Dual Screen, a design that combines two screens into one seamless display, that has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Other highlight features includes an in-car wireless 50W charger with an active cooling system, an 8-speaker premium Sony Audio System, 64-colour interior ambient lighting, and a sunroof.
Safety also takes centre stage as the Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with the latest generation of the Advanced Driver Assistance System 2.5 (ADAS 2.5) system.
The ADAS suite includes a staggering 16 functions which includes: Front Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Multi Collision Brake, Traffic Jam Assistant, Door Open Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Integrated Cruise Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Reminder, Blind-spot Detection, and Emergency Lane Keeping.
Four colours are available for choice: Bloodstone Red with Black Roof, Carbon Black, Vanilla Blue and Khaki White with Black Roof.
The model will be available for viewing at all Chery showrooms nationwide from April 2024 onwards with customers receiving their new Tiggo 7 Pro by the end of May around the same time of its official launch.
