AirAsia plane skids off in Brunei

KUALA LUMPUR: An AirAsia Airbus 330 skidded off the runway upon touch down in Brunei International Airport.

No injuries were reported in the 4pm incident.

The carrier, in a statement, said all 102 passengers and seven crew on board of its Flight AK278 from Kuala Lumpur to Brunei disembarked safely at the airport.

“Our team is working with the relevant authorities to identify the root cause of this incident and we will provide further updates as necessary,” the statement said.

The statement said the ground services personnel were currently attending to the needs of all passengers concerned.
