KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar yesterday on mild profit-taking, a currency trader said.
At 5pm, the ringgit was quoted at 3.1880/1900 against the greenback compared with 3.1845/1865 last Friday.
The ringgit was also lower against other major currencies.
It edged down against the Singapore dollar to 2.5569/5594 from 2.5545/5564 on Friday and depreciated against the yen to 3.1273/1299 from 3.1199/1231.
The local unit eased against the British pound to 5.4658/4705 from 5.4614/4661 and slid against the euro to 4.3347/3381 from 4.3271/3308. Bernama
