EPF introduces retirement advisory service

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has introduced the Retirement Advisory Service (RAS) as a long-term plan to enhance its service delivery towards helping members achieve a sustainable retirement.

RAS, offers free advice and impartial guidance to members on how they can make vital decisions about their EPF savings, and make their money last longer throughout the golden years.

In a statement today, Chief Executive Officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said RAS is meaningful for members nearing retirement age or those already retired but still have savings in the EPF.

As of today, 179 members have visited and sought guidance from RAS on their retirement savings and planning, he added.

Shahril said the service had received positive response with members given guidance on EPF products such as the Flexi Withdrawal scheme, as well as an indication on how much they can accumulate by keeping some savings with the Fund.

In addition to advice and investment counselling, RAS also carries out awareness and education programmes on basic financial and retirement planning, and helps members with their withdrawal applications.-- Bernama
