KUALA LUMPUR: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the ministry and Malaysian Armed Forces will work to wipe out the armed gunmen invading Sabah.
Hishamuddin said this while responding to tweets from several netizens who expressed their concern over the attack in Mabul, Semporna.
“Will discuss (the case) with the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) after I get back from Lebanon,” he tweeted.
On a netizen’s call to hand over the case to the armed forces, Hishamuddin said he would have to discuss the case with other stakeholders, including the police, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, state government, customs and immigration departments, and with the attorney-general prior to coming to a conclusion.
