BUTTERWORTH: In a rare show of support, PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pledged to back Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's call for an emergency parliamentary sitting over the MH17 tragedy.
“Pakatan Rakyat fully supports Najib's pledge to bring justice to the 298 lives lost in the tragedy.
"In this time of grief, we from Pakatan Rakyat convey our deepest condolences to the next of kin in the aftermath of MH17 tragedy.
"We will be 100 per cent behind Najib and we also hope Najib will help the needy in Gaza.
"I hope the country will help children and woman brutally attacked brutally by Israel," he said in his opening speech at Majlis Berbuka Puasa at Masjid Jamek in Seberang Jaya today.
On Friday, Najib said an emergency parliamentary sitting would be convened and the date had been fixed on Wednesday.
