MH17: Bodies to be flown to Netherlands later today

KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry informed that all the bodies of the Malaysian MH17 victims are still in the train coaches in Kharkiv.

Its director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Holland Disaster Victim Identification team was working along with PDRM CSI and the Smart team were in the process of conducting tagging.

"Screening is being done and the bodies are being kept in boxes before put into a C130 military aircraft to Amsterdam," he said.

He said the aircraft may take off early tomorrow morning.

It was made known that the ministry's forensic specialist and head Dr Mohd Shah and the ATM forensic odontologist Datuk Dr Ilham will be accompanying the bodies to Amsterdam.

Dr Noor Hisham also congratulated Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for successfully getting hold of the black box and bringing the Malaysian bodies back home.
