MRT Corp awards 3 more contracts worth RM67m

KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded three contracts for the Klang Valley MRT Project Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line, with a total value of RM67.2 million.

The awards were selected by the One-Stop Procurement Committee (OSPC) which was chaired by Secretary-General to the Treasury Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.

The contract -- worth RM7.4 million -- for the supply, delivery and supervision of installation, testing and commissioning of step-down distribution transformers for all MRT underground stations and ancillary buildings (Package SDDT-U) went to PTIS Engineering Sdn Bhd.

The contract for the design, procurement, configuration, installation, testing and commission of the IT system for all elevated and underground stations as well as depots of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line (Package SBK-S-13) was given to EV-Dynamic Sdn Bhd. The contract, which includes training and documentation for the system, is worth RM44.5 million.

Eita Elevator (M) Sdn Bhd received the contract for the supply, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of the lift system for all MRT underground stations and ancillary buildings (Package LS-U) worth RM15.3 million.

With the latest decision taken by OSPC, a total of 77 work packages have been awarded. One work package is being called, while seven others have yet to be called.
