KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, via its 60 per cent owned Thai unit CIMB-Principal Asset Management Company Ltd (CIMB Thailand), has proposed to acquire Finansa Asset Management Ltd from Finansa Public Co Ltd for RM22 million. The company said its subsidiary entered into a conditional share purchase agreement with Finansa yesterday to purchase the entire issued and outstanding shares in Finansa Asset. “The proposed acquisition will not have any material effect on the group’s consolidated net assets and earnings and the group’s share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings,” CIMB said.
