Have loads of fun with new i-Card

SHAH ALAM: WITH RM50, you might not be able to buy much these days but it certainly can get you a whole fun-filled day at i-City theme park.

The theme park is having a special promotion till tomorrow that enables Malaysians to enjoy the best of what it has to offer for only RM50 per person with the purchase of the new i-Card.

Malaysians who visit the park will be able to enjoy the Red Carpet, Snowalk, Waterworld, Space Mission and House of Horror attractions at i-City.

i-City theme park’s corporate services manager Tang Soke Cheng said, “i-City started operations in January 2010 as a night attraction where visitors came to view the beautiful lights. The park was such a big hit that we decided to add more fun attractions during the day.”

Red Carpet (RM35) is the first and only interactive wax museum in Malaysia. It is divided into five themed zones which are World Icons, Celebrities, Sports Stars, Legends and Interactive Zone.

At the World Icons zone, visitors can rub shoulders with world leaders like Russian president Vladimir Putin, American president Barack Obama, Communist Party leader Chairman Mao, ex-Singapore prime minister Lee Kuan Yew and others.

The Celebrities zone is where you can shake hands or pose for photographs with your favourite celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Sylvester Stallone, Johnny Depp, John Travolta and many others.

If you are into sports, don’t miss meeting John Cena, Datuk Lee Chong Wei, David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham, Michael Schumacher, Yao Ming, Muhammad Ali and other sports legends at the Sports Stars zone. The Legends zone is where you will meet famous entertainers like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Luciano Pavarotti and even Sir Elton John.

Lastly, the Interactive Zone is where several waxworks figures will come “alive” and “interact” with you.

Watch out for Psy dancing the Gangnam style, Michael Jackson doing one of his many signature dance moves and more.

After hobnobbing with the rich and famous, get ready for a splashing good time at the Waterworld park (RM35).

Slide down the double and spiral water slides, relax in a jacuzzi, swim in a wave pool, slide down on a rubberised mat along a water slide, and allow the kids to have fun in the children’s pool and more.

The highlight of the park is the Tornado ride, a seven-storey high marvel where visitors will walk up a seven-storey staircase with an inflatable tube which each seats four people and then go for the ride down the Tornado.

It is an adrenaline-pumping, gravity-defying ride that will have you screaming in fun all the way from the top of the ride to the bottom.

Snowalk (RM25 per person during the day, RM35 per person at night) is a dream come true for Malaysians who have always longed to play in a snow-covered winter wonderland.

The minus five degree Celsius artificial Snowalk park gives visitors a chance to view ice sculptures, enjoy rides like chair skis, ice slides and others and, of course, play with snow.

Blast off for an intergalactic ride at Space Mission (RM15). The Starship Explorer zone will see guests getting into a “rocket” which will “blast off” into outer space.

The rocket will transport you to an intergalactic spaceship which has been hijacked by aliens.

After you explore the spaceship, make your way to the planet exploration ride where you will hop on a ride and use laser guns to blast evil aliens along the way as you fight to save the universe from them.

Lastly, the RM50 i-Card also allows each visitor to visit the House of Horror (RM15).

Explore a haunted house and flee from horrifying monsters and evil creatures waiting to scare you and your family.
