SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan has cancelled the state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House that was scheduled to be held on first day of Hari Raya.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the annual open house for the people of Negri Sembilan was supposed to be held at the courtyard of State Legislative Assembly Building in Seremban.
"The cancellation was made to respect those who died in the MH17 tragedy in Ukraine on July 17," said Mohamad in a statement issued by his office today.
However Mohamad said he will continue to host the Menteri Besar and Family Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at Kampung Tanjung, Rantau, scheduled on August 2, from 10am to 5pm.
