KUALA LUMPUR: About 300 secondary school students congregated for a mutual cause at the 14th Kuala Lumpur Alpha Leos (District 308 B-1 Malaysia) Joint Installation Ceremony recently.
They were members of eight Leo clubs who bore witness to the initiation ceremony of their fellow peers and the installation of the key officers, namely president, secretary and treasurer.
The clubs were from SMK Damansara Utama (the organising club), SMK Cochrane, SMK Jinjang, SMK Kepong Baru, SMK Bukit Jalil, SMK USJ 13, SMK Datuk Lokman and SMK Bukit Kiara.
The joint installation ceremony, with "We Are One" as the theme, presented members with the opportunity to meet and interact with one another as well as to show their support for those being inducted and installed.
Joining the Leos were 30-odd members of their respective sponsoring Lions clubs, with Past District Governor Jason Kon as the guest-of-honour. By Ricky Yap
