SUPPORT FOR GLOBAL ACTS OF GOODNESS

G. Rajendran

KUALA LUMPUR: The Brahma Kumaris Malaysia, an independent non-religious organisation, recently launched a global project called The 7 Billion Acts of Goodness in Malaysia.

The project, which kicked off in the US and was subsequently launched in India, Australia and European Union countries, aims to inspire everyone to perform their own act of goodness, thus making the world a better place for the mankind and the environment in view of current conflicts and unrest that envelop the world.

With the pledges of everyone in Malaysia and in other countries, Brahma Kumaris hopes to achieve an ultimate 7 Billion Acts of Goodness for oneself, others and the nature.

The launch, which took place at the Royal Lake Club here, was officiated by social activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir and was graced by Brahma Kumaris director-general of Russia and USSR Republics, Rajyogini B.K. Chakradhari.

The event also saw representatives from 22 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and associations pledging their acts of goodness on stage towards this cause.

Apart from the NGOs, other participants also pledged their acts of goodness before leaving the hall at the end of the programme.
