KUALA LUMPUR: Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia hold ers or those with its equivalent could check the their applications to public institutions of higher learning (IPTAs) at the Unit Pusat Universiti (UPU) website from noon today.
The Education Ministry in a statement said those who applied for places at IPTAs could check the status of applications at http://upu.moe.gov.my, https://jpt.utm.my, http://jpt.uum.edu.my, https://jpt.unimas.my and http://jpt.ums.edu.my.
They could also check via short messaging service (SMS) by typing UPU RESULT (identity card number) and send it to 15888.
They could also call the UPU Hotline number at 03- 88706767, 03-88706777 (Helpline) or 03-88706755/6766 (general line).
Unsuccessful applicants will be allowed to appeal online through the e-Rayuan application on the same website, within 10 days after the official announcement made. The closing date is Aug 22.
Successful candidates have to accept their offers by Aug 23 and print their offer letters via the official websites of the respective institutions or at http://upu.moe.gov.my.
An inquiry counter will be opened at Bangunan Ke menterian Pendidikan Malaysia, Aras 4, No.2, Menara 2, Jalan P5/6, Presint 5, Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan Perseku tuan, 62200 Putrajaya from today until Aug 22 to facilitate applicants to check their application status and to seek consultation services.
