PM gives DBKL 2 weeks to prepare report on status of applications

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall has been given two weeks to prepare a report on the applications it has received.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this was to ensure that the municipality improved the ease of doing business.

"We want the decision-making process to be fast, not just in Kuala Lumpur (city hall), but nationwide.

"Even though the speed of approval is fast, we still lose to other countries such as Vietnam in terms of the pace (implementation)," he said in his speech at the Lumpur Structure Plan 2040 (PSKL2040).
