Media Prima, MCA to host contests, lucky draws

KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Radio Networks stations have an array of World Cup programmes for their listeners and fans to participate in.

Fly FM will host The Tarik Tour, where listeners can suggest which mamak outlets they want the radio station to invade during two matches -- the Portugal vs Germany match on June 16, and the Italy vs Costa Rica match on June 20 -- in either Kuala Lumpur or Penang.

The eatery will be visited by the Fly FM crew, where the first 50 people there will walk away with a football jersey each, plus limited edition merchandise.

The football fever continues with One FM, which will organise the FM Futsal Tournament on June 28.

In the tournament, the station's announcers will be divided into four teams consisting of 10 members each, including two announcers, one artiste and a listener.

To participate, listeners need to submit their entries online to be part of the competing team, where they will battle for the RM5,000 grand prize. There will also be lucky draws during the tournament.

Football fans can also watch and cheer for their favourite teams as matches will be screened live on a giant LED screen at the MCA headquarters in Jalan Ampang from now until the final.

Organised by the MCA Youth wing, Santai Bola Bersama Pemuda MCA is geared towards lifting the "samba spirit" among football fans.

MCA Youth chief Senator Chong Sin Woon said they wanted everyone to join in the celebration and have fun during the football season.

"MCA Youth will also host a variety of programmes during the weekends, where free coffee and bread will be given out."

MCA Youth is inviting those interested in setting up merchandise outlets, hawkers and mamak stalls at the venue to contact us.

"We will have lucky draws for those attending, where mystery prizes will be awarded to participants who correctly guess which team will enter the final, as well as who will be crowned champions."
