JOHOR BARU: The proprietor of a famous eatery JB Catering & Food Supplies, was attacked by an unidentified parang-wielding man.
In the 11am incident, the victim Rahmat Yusof, 49, who is fondly referred as Haji Rahmat, was driving alone along the Kempas Highway, when a motorist crashed onto the rear of his car.
When he alighted from his car to check the damages, the other motorist swiped out a parang and started attacking him.
Rahmat sustained numerous slashes on both arms in his attempt to defend himself from the blows.
Fortunately, some passing motorists who recognised him went to his aid, forcing the assailant to escape.
Rahmat sought treatment at the Kempas Specialist Hospital.
