Ipoh Parade lights up animated facade

IPOH: THE Lion Ipoh Parade recently launched its Festival of Lights promotion by lighting up its state-of-the-art animated graphics facade at the entrance of the shopping mall here.

The 1,000-strong crowd present were awed by the burst of colours as the animated graphics took a life of its own.

State Health, Non-Muslim Affairs, National Integration and New Villages committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon officiated at the event.

The spectacular show was followed by the performance of a lion and a 42m-long dragon dances. The performers stunned the crowd with their skilful acrobatics as they manoeuvred the mythical creatures that were embellished with LED lights.

The crowd were also entertained to other performances, including that by fire-eaters, magicians, stilt-walkers, jugglers and clowns.

Earlier, a K-Pop boyband, AlphaBAT entertained the crowd with their favourite numbers including Tonite, All For You, ABCITV and Always.

Dr Mah praised Ipoh Parade for having played an important role in the community during its 20-year operation here.

Meanwhile, Lion Ipoh Parade centre manager Chan Yu Yin said the grand celebration marked another milestone for the shopping mall which completed its refurbishment work recently.

He added that the animated graphic facade would be lit up every night, from 8pm to 11pm.
