MyIPO, as part of its mandate to drive and build a vibrant Intellectual Property (IP) ecosystem, in support of the various IP financing and IP valuation initiatives, recently launched the IP Rights Marketplace portal.
The IPR Marketplace (www.iprmarketplace.com.my) enables IP owners to put their patents, industrial designs, copyrights and trade marks up for sale or out-licensing or collaborate with others by buying or in-licensing IP rights.
MyIPO, an agency under the Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry, is also looking at conversing and creating a dialogue on key issues surrounding IP commercialisation and monetisation. It is hosting its latest industry engagement programme known as “Conversation with Stakeholders — IP Rights Marketplace Industry Engagement” from September 2 to September 5.
MyIPO is confident that the consultation with relevant industry stakeholders will result in a suitable and viable platform for the buying and selling of IP rights.
