Feel on top of the world on Merdeka Day

TO celebrate Malaysia’s 57th year of independence, Resorts World Genting has lined up a host of events and activities to keep the entire family well entertained on the Merdeka weekend.

There will be a magic show by Peter Marvey at 8.30pm.

At Times Square Stage in First World Plaza, Robots Unite will entertain with their robotic and quirky dance moves. The MOB Dance crew will be making its usual weekend and public holiday appearance to showcase their high-powered choreographed dance.

Magician Andrew Lee will also be around to demonstrate his conjurer’s tricks up close.

If you like street performances, you will definitely love the six international buskers at Resorts World Genting.

Paola, Cesar G, Christian Ruiz, Rui Fernandes, Mr Tartuffo and Teppei Chico will juggle, paint, perform comedy and more non-stop, daily.

The Twentieth Century Fox Meet & Greet sessions are also happening this weekend. Performances are at Times Square Stage from 1.30pm to 2pm and at the Genting International Showroom from 4pm to 5.30pm.

To take a look at what goes on Behind the Scenes, register for the tour at the First World Indoor Theme Park Wristband Tagging Counter or registration counter at Vision City Video Games Park (next to the post office).

For a grand Merdeka feast, Coffee Terrace with its large buffet spreads, is the place to be this weekend.

Whatever your tastes run to, you are bound to find something that suit at the local, Western, Chinese or Japanese counters.

The buffets are available for lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 5pm to 9.30pm.
