KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar today as investors continued with their interests on the greenback, dealers said.
At 5pm, the ringgit was quoted at 3.1510/1530 against the greenback from 3.1490/1510 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the local unit was traded mixed against other major currencies.
The ringgit increased against the yen to 3.0324/0349 from Thursday’s 3.0346/0371 and rose against the euro to 4.1527/1560 from 4.1583/1622 previously.
Against the British pound, it depreciated to 5.2300/2337 from 5.2261/2297 on Thursday and fell against the Singapore dollar to 2.5256/5277 from 2.5240/5259 previously. Bernama
