CYBERJAYA: English will soon be made into a mandatory pass subject at the university level.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced this new policy here today.
Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister, said the new policy would be introduced but date of its implementation has yet to be set.
The decision, Muhyiddin said, was made after meeting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak last week.
It was also learnt that the details of the new policy would only be announced at a much later date.
