KUCHING: The case of a fishmonger charged at the magistrate’s court here last month with murdering two British medical students was transferred to the High Court yesterday.
Magistrate Zulhairil Sulaiman granted the application by deputy public prosecutor Mirza Mohamad when the case came up for mention.
Mirza told the court he had received the reports on the post-mortems of the victims identified as Aidan Brunger, 22, and Neil Dalton, 23.
On Aug 19, Zulkipli Abdullah, 25, from Kampung Gersik here, was charged with murdering Brunger and Dalton near the City Inn Hotel in Jalan Abell, between 4.10am and 4.15am, on Aug 6. It was reported that the two students were stabbed to death after a commotion.
