CIMB Best plan for Bumi SMEs

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group is coming out with CIMB Bumiputera Entrepreneur Skills Transformation Programme (CIMB Best) to expand development opportunities for Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the country.

CIMB Best, which will commence tomorrow, comprises high-impact development programmes aimed at empowering Bumiputera entrepreneurs with knowledge on finance, business development and management, and help create access to markets and funding opportunities.

CIMB Group acting group chief executive Tengku Datuk Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said with the wealth of training and coaching support available, CIMB Best offers a platform for skills transformation and aims to support aspiring and existing Bumiputera SMEs (small and medium enterprises).

  The pilot of CIMB Best will see 150 entrepreneurs of various experience levels participate in structured capability-building courses to enhance their skills at running successful SMEs, with modules ranging from identifying business opportunities, marketing to potential expansion strategies.

  CIMB has partnered with government agencies such as Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (Teraju), Tabung Ekonomi Kumpulan Usahawan Niaga (Tekun) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) to select the participants for the pilot programme. It offers a curriculum that will cater to different stages of business maturity.
