JOHOR BARU: Members of the Johor media fraternity recently battled it out against each other in the Johor Media Club (KMJ) inter-media badminton doubles competition at Stadium Tebrau.
Mohd Firdaus Yon of Sinar Harian and Ho Shein Rui of Kwang Wat Jit Poh became the reigning champions in the men’s doubles.
Meanwhile, Berita Harian’s Rizar Mohd Noor and his teammate Sin Chew Daily’s Yeow Siew Li came in second after losing the match to Annaz Md Noor from RTM and So Yuen Ling of Nanyang Siang Pau in the mixed doubles.
On hand to give away the cash prizes to the winners was club president Mohamad Fauzi Ishak.
“This is the third time we are hosting this competition. Response has been overwhelming with more of our fellow pressmen competing this time around.
“This shows that apart from hunting for news, the media members are also making time to stay healthy and fit by involving themselves in sports and recreational activities,” he said. By Halim Said
