Lodging complaint made easy

THE Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has introduced a mobile application, Aduan MPSJ, which would enable the public to file complaints and check its status easily.

The application, which is free, however, is only available for android smartphones via Play Store or Google Play for now. Users are required to register at rakan My@MPSJ via www.mpsj.gov.my in order to use the application.

Others could file their complaints at www.mpsj.gov.my/iresponz/mobile, which would also require them to register at rakan My@MPSJ website.

MPSJ president Datuk Asmawi Kasbi said the application would not only make it easy for the public to lodge complaints but also help council staff to improve their efficiency in giving timely feedback.

“Our municipality has a population of 800,000 residents. It is a challenge for the council to deliver, especially in disseminating information to the public as we only have 1,600 staff.

“So we are always figuring out the best way to improve our services and using technology is one way to go,” he said.

On another matter, Asmawi, who has been MPSJ president since June 2011, announced that he would hang his boots come Oct 19, at the age of 66.

The fifth MSPJ president said he hopes that the council would continue to achieve greater success and meet its target of becoming a green and sustainable municipality by 2030.

Asked on who would succeed him, Asmawi said: “It is up to the state government.”
