KUALA LUMPUR: Two factories in Sungai Buloh near here were almost completely destroyed in a blaze earlier this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said they received a call about the incident at Jalan Welfare, Kampung Sungai Baru in Sungai Buloh at 5.56am.
"We despatched 19 firemen from the Sungai Buloh, Damansara and Kota Anggerik fire stations.
"The team managed to control the blaze soon after arrival."
Initial investigations revealed that the blaze had destroyed at least 60 per cent of the factories.
No casualties were reported, while investigations to determine the cause of fire are being conducted.
