ABM: Help boost adoption of e-banking

KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) hopes the upcoming 2015 Budget will incorporate more initiatives to encourage the adoption of electronic banking.

“We look forward to initiatives to move transactions away from cash,” said council chairman Datuk Abdul Farid Alias.

He expressed hope that there would be more measures to enhance the strong fundamentals of local financial institutions.

“We could look into the capital structure and liquidity of banks,” he said after the “Think Online Safety, Think CARD” campaign, here, yesterday. Bernama
