Singaporean biker killed at Pasir Gudang track

PASIR GUDANG: A 30-year-old Singaporean was killed during a practice session at the JCircuit race track here today at 11.20pm, after he lost control of his motorcycle.

Seri Alam district police chief Supt Abd Samad Salleh said the victim, Muhamad Hafiz Haron, a Singapore Immigrations and Customs Authority officer, was riding a Suzuki GSX 600cc superbike when he was believed to have lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a sharp turn.

It is learnt that the victim had skidded and lost control of his machine at Turn 3 of the popular circuit.

Muhamad Hafiz died at the scene. He was believed to have suffered from head and neck injuries. His body was sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital for a post-mortem.

JCircuit, when contacted, declined to comment on the matter.
