KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended higher against the US dollar yesterday on strong buying interest, in sync with most emerging Asian currencies.
At 5pm, the ringgit was quoted at 3.2710/2730 against the greenback compared with 3.2730/2750 on Friday.
The local unit was also mostly higher against other major currencies.
It was firmer against the Singapore dollar at 2.5689/5711 from Friday’s 2.5721/5743, and strengthened against the yen to 3.0556/0589 from 3.0724/0751.
The ringgit was, however, lower against the British pound at 5.2715/2761 from 5.2712/2760 and appreciated against the euro to 4.1722/2754 from 4.2006/2038. Bernama
