KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Foundation succeeded in raising RM3.38 million during a charity dinner held at the Shangri-La Hotel recently.
Themed “Building Lives Together”, it was the highest achievement for the foundation since its inception in 2005.
On the night of the event, about RM510,000 was disbursed to 22 charitable foundations in the country.
Over 500 guests attended the function.
The dinner was graced by Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, foundation’s chairman Datuk Syed Norulzaman Syed Kamarulzaman, Mah Sing Group managing director and group chief executive Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum and other members of the board of trustees.
Syed Norulzaman said the foundation has been actively supporting charities that reaches out to the urban poor.
Guests were treated to a wide spread of sumptuous delicacies and cuisines. By C. Premananthini
