GEORGE TOWN: A labourer died after falling from a cement mixer at a construction site in Sungai Ara, Bayan Lepas, here, today.
Mauzam Khan, 29, from Pakistan is said to have fallen from the top of the machine’s tank, about 20-metre high and died on the spot at 1.45 pm.
Southwest district police chief Supt Lai Fah Hin said while the man was busy tending to the cement mixing work he was believed to have slipped and fallen from the machine.
“The body was sent to Balik Pulau Hospital for post-mortem and the case is classified as sudden death,” he said in a statement here. – BERNAMA
