Ducati takes Scrambler 2015 on road

JOHOR BARU: This Friday, Johor’s premium Italian motorcycle outlet in Jalan Abdullah Tahir here will be showcasing the new Ducati Scrambler machine, the first in the southern region.

Those in the central and northern regions have already seen the preview organised by Ducati Malaysia (Next Bike Bhd), especially during the Asia Ducati Week (ADW) 2014, which was held in conjunction with the Moto GP event in Sepang last week.

On Friday, Ducati Johor, operated by New Asia Motor Bhd, will have the honour to showcase the Ducati Scrambler 2015 model to the public.

Ducati Johor sales manager Chin Chee Yong said the one-day event called the Ducati Scrambler Road Show will also be held in conjunction with the outlet’s Open Day from 10am to 5pm.

““In addition to the new motorcycle’s preview, we will also have Ducati test rides and merchandise sale for the public.”

“The event will also be supported by riders from the Johor Ducati Riders Club (JDRC) who are Ducati motorcycle owners based in Johor.

For months, Ducati kept the new Scrambler model guarded within a large yellow container, sharing only snippets of information on the bike’’s look and features in a three-episode web series released on the Internet.

On July 18, the Scrambler was previewed at the World Ducati Week 2014 in Italy.

The Scrambler is now touring the globe, making special appearances in numerous countries before passionate Ducatisti who have long awaited its introduction.

A contemporary interpretation of the original 1970’s icon, the Ducati Scrambler 2015 is an easy-to-handle sport bike that is comfortable, accessible and every bit as fashionable as its predecessor.
