SIK: Ten houses in five villages in Sik were badly damaged with most of their roofs blown away during a thunderstorm yesterday.
The villages were Kampung Carok Puyuh, Kampung Tanjong Setar, Kampung Belimbing, Kampung Tanjong Belit and Kampung Tualang.
However, no casualty was reported.
Sik Member of Parliament’s special officer Abd Kadir Che Ngah said they had been sending aid, especially food supply, to the victims since yesterday.
Today, house repair aid, including zinc and plywood sheets, would also be brought to the scene to enable the houses to be repaired in a gotong royong activity involving the villagers, he added. - BERNAMA
