DENMARK’S World No 3 Jan Jorgensen clinched his first super series title of the year following his victory over Japan’s Kenichi Tago in the Indonesia Open final yesterday.
The 26-year-old, who scalped China’s Chen Long in the semi-final on Saturday, defeated Tago 21-18, 21-18 in 44 minutes.
In the women’s singles, China’s World No 1 Li Xuerui, outclassed Thailand’s reigning World champion Ratchanok Intanon to bag her fourth super series title of the year.
The Olympic champion needed only 37 minutes to beat the Thai 21-13, 21-13.
